APL announces that the Cross Payment Fee will be adjusted with effect from 11 August 2019.
The Cross Payment Fee is applicable when payment of ocean freight is neither the B/L origin country nor destination country. The charge is not applicable for shipments where cargo is taken in Merchant Haulage via a foreign port to a destination country which is identical with the country where the freight is paid.
Effective Date: 11 August 2019
Origin: All origins (excluding Guangdong province and Guangxi province)
Destination: All destinations
Quantum: US$ 55 per BL
– applicable when freight and/or charges are required to be paid in Hong Kong by the party making the payment for BL with origin or destination that is not Hong Kong
– not applicable for shipment to/from Macau
Origin: China (Guangdong province and Guangxi province)
Destination: All destinations
Quantum: US$ 30 per BL
– applicable when freight and/or charges are required to be paid in Hong Kong by the party making the payment for BL with origin or destination that is not Hong Kong
