Temperature: The annual average temperature is 12 C, the extreme maximum temperature is 39.9 C, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 18.3 C. Ice Conditions: From December to February of the following year, it is an ice age. The thickness of ice near the coast is usually 5-20 mm, which usually does not affect the navigation of ships. Tides: Irregular semi-diurnal tide occurs twice a month, with unequal dates and significant low tide. The highest tidal level is 5.72 meters, the lowest is - 1.08 meters and the maximum tidal range is 4.37 meters. Tide: The speed of tidal current is 0.4 m/s, and the speed of ebb is 0.24 m/s. The flow direction of tidal current is basically parallel to the channel. Wave: Tianjin Port is greatly affected by monsoon. The northerly wind prevails in winter and southeast wind prevails in summer. The main wave direction affecting Tianjin Port is NNE~E. The normal wave direction is ENE and the E direction, with frequencies of 9.68% and 9.53% respectively. The strong wave direction is ENE direction. The wave frequency greater than 1.5 meters is 1.35%. The sub-strong wave direction is NNW direction, and the wave frequency greater than 1.5 meters is 0.89%. Navigation information Channel: The length of the new port channel is 27.4 kilometers, the width of the main channel is 180 meters, the water depth is - 12 meters, 50,000-ton ships can enter the port by tide, and 10,000-ton ships can travel in both directions. Dagukou Lighthouse is located at 23+925 mileage of the new port waterway. Haihe waterway is 39.5 kilometers long and can pass 3000-5000 tons of ships. Tianjin Port, located on the West Bank of Bohai Bay, is the gateway to the sea for the capital of China. The harbor is surrounded by the southern breakwater. 100,000 tons of ships can enter and leave the harbor all day, and 150,000 tons of ships can enter and leave the harbor by tide. There are 76 berths, including 53 berths above 10,000 tons and 4 container berths. Tianjin is the leading international shipping center in the north of China and one of the ideal starting ports of the Eurasian Continental Bridge. The port has trade with more than 300 ports in more than 170 countries and regions in the world. In 2003, the cargo throughput of Tianjin Port was 126 million tons, ranking first in northern China and ranking among the top 20 ports in the world. From January to July 2004, the cargo throughput of Tianjin Port reached 115 million tons, an increase of 23.3% over the same period last year, ranking third in the cargo volume of China's ports, with container throughput reaching 2.15 million tons, an increase of 25.9% over the same period last year. At present, Tianjin Port occupies 3/5 of coal, 1/4 of salt, 1/6 of crude oil and 1/7 of minerals transported by sea in China. The main export commodities are petroleum, iron and steel, chemical industry, machinery, textiles, food, groceries and so on.
