Introduction Natural condition The port has a temperate marine climate and prevails northwest wind. It's wet and foggy in winter and cool in summer. The annual average temperature is about 4 degrees Celsius in January and 18 degrees Celsius in July. The annual average rainfall is about 750-900 MM, and the tidal range of the Scheld River is 4.2-4.5 mm. Port location Located on the right bank of the lower reaches of the Belgian River, there are two river-bottom tunnels connecting each other, about 50NMILE to the west of the North Sea, and the Albert Canal to the east of the river, which is Belgium's largest seaport. Founded in the 13th century, it became the first commercial city in Europe in 1460, and became a commercial and transportation center in northern Europe. At present, it has become the second largest port in Europe and one of the world's famous 100 million ton ports. It is the second largest industrial center in Belgium. Its main industries include oil refining, chemistry, automobile, steel, non-ferrous smelting, machinery, shipbuilding, etc. It is also an important trading place for international diamonds. The port is about 15KM away from the yard. Distribution of port area and berth situation Antwerp are divided into two main parts, River and dock. Six locks are connected to the river. Loading and unloading machinery and capacity: Loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes, gantry cranes, removable container cranes, removable bridge cranes, grab loading and unloading bridges, floating cranes, hoists, belt conveyor shutdown and roll-on facilities, among which the maximum lifting capacity of floating cranes is 800 tons. Belgian Coal Handling Company has coal handling capacity in Angang, including 16 tons of grab handling bridge, loading and unloading rate of 10,000 tons per day. Coal handling facilities include heavy/medium washing, crushing, drying, dehumidifying screening machine and crusher.
